Interesting OP. But there is a far
deeper problem with the ransom issue. Adam did not
introduce sin into the world. Eve did!
So to solve the issue, they just ignored the fact that it
was actually Eve who sinned first, and pinned the introduction of sin on her
male accomplice, Adam.
But that Eve introduced sin into the
world is without dispute when you read Genesis.
But the patriarchal misogynistic
society in which christianity was born, could not stomach the thought of
a woman having such a prominent role.
That would actually explain a lot of other things like Paul’s
strong convictions that Women were not allowed to teach in the congregation. Paul
said that women could be easily deceived but not the men. Where does it say in
Genesis that Adam was not deceived? For all we know Eve made an apple pie and
gave him a piece and he was totally deceived. And if Paul can make up the story
of Adam not being deceived, then I can make up the story of an apple being the
forbidden fruit.
(1 Timothy 2:14) . . .Also,
Adam was not deceived, but the woman was thoroughly
deceived and came to be in transgression. . .
